Terms of service

The agreement between you and goshelf when you use it. Plain language, because you should be able to read it.

Effective 20 October 2026

Step 1: Who we are

goshelf is provided by Silivent Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to the website goshelf.app and the goshelf service.

Step 2: Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract to open a store. You are responsible for everything done under your account and the accounts of staff you invite, and for keeping passwords private. Tell us at once if you think an account has been compromised.

Step 3: The service

goshelf is a web application for point of sale, inventory, purchasing and reporting. goshelf is software for recording sales, stock and expenses. It does not process payments on behalf of stores or hold their funds. We may change or improve it at any time. We will give reasonable notice before removing a feature that your store depends on.

Step 4: Plans, trial and payment

  • New stores get a free trial. No payment details are needed to start it.
  • After the trial you choose a monthly or yearly plan. Prices are in US dollars and shown on the pricing page.
  • Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. Silivent Technologies LLC is the seller of the subscription.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription; the store stays on its plan until the end of the period already paid.
  • If a payment fails we will try again and tell you. Your store keeps working while we retry.

Step 5: What happens when a subscription ends

When a trial ends without a plan, or a subscription lapses, the store enters a short grace period and then becomes read-only: you can view and export everything, but not sell or make changes. Nothing is deleted. Data stays exportable for 90 days after the store becomes read-only, after which we may delete it.

Step 6: Your data

Your store’s data — products, sales, customers, suppliers, reports — belongs to you. We process it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy policy. You can export it at any time. We do not sell it and we do not show one store’s data to another.

Step 7: Acceptable use

Don’t use goshelf for anything unlawful, don’t try to access another store’s data, don’t probe or overload the service, and don’t resell access without our agreement. We may suspend a store that does.

Step 8: Availability

We aim for the service to be available at all times and we design for it, but we don’t promise uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible. goshelf currently requires an internet connection to sell.

Step 9: Liability

goshelf is a tool to help run a shop; decisions about pricing, stock, tax and accounts remain yours. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Step 10: Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email the store owner at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use goshelf after that date means you accept the change.
