Stock

Every unit, accounted for

goshelf never overwrites a stock number. Every movement is written down — bought, sold, returned, damaged, counted — so you can always see why a figure is what it is. Ask “where did the 14 go?” and get an answer, not a shrug.

A day with goshelf

Not a demo. This is what a Tuesday looks like for a shop that runs on it.

  1. A shopkeeper opening up at first light, the shop’s lights already on

    08:30Open the shift

Count the float, open Till 1. Yesterday’s cash-up is already in the report.

  2. A customer paying by card at a shop counter, a barcode scanner beside the till

    11:15Sell, fast

Scan, tap Cash, hand over the receipt. Stock is already down by one.

  3. A shopkeeper cutting open a delivery among stacked cartons

    15:00Receive a delivery

Scan the PO, count what arrived, book it in. Cost price updates on its own.

  4. A shopkeeper locking the door at night, the lights still on inside

    20:00Close the day

Count the drawer and close the shift. The day’s sales, cash and stock are already in your reports.

Live by the end of the day

  1. Import your products

Upload the spreadsheet you already have — name, price, cost, barcode. A thousand products take a minute.

  2. Count your stock once

A single opening count sets a clean starting point. From here, goshelf keeps the record.

  3. Start selling

Plug in the barcode scanner you already own, open a shift, and ring up the first sale.

Questions shop owners ask

Do I need special hardware?

No. Any laptop, desktop or tablet with a browser. Most USB and Bluetooth barcode scanners work out of the box — they type like a keyboard. Receipts print to any printer, or go to the customer’s phone.

Does goshelf process card payments?

No. goshelf records each sale and how the customer paid. Card payments go through the shop’s own card machine and bank, as they do today. goshelf never handles, holds or transfers your customers’ money.

Does it work without internet?

goshelf runs in the browser and needs a connection today. An offline mode that keeps selling through outages and syncs when you reconnect is in development for Pro and Business plans.

How does tax work in my country?

You decide. Turn tax on or off, choose whether prices include it, and apply it per line or per invoice. Rates and labels are yours to set, so it fits Pakistan, South Africa, or anywhere else.

Can my accountant use it?

Yes. Profit & loss, stock valuation, tax summary and a year-end statement all export to CSV or PDF, and every total opens the documents behind it. Give them a viewer login and they can pull what they need.

What happens if I stop paying?

Your shop goes read-only after a short grace period — nothing is deleted. You can export everything for 90 days, and picking the subscription back up restores full access instantly.

Open tomorrow knowing exactly where you stand.

Set up in an afternoon. Free for 14 days. No card needed.
